Hi Brandon,
Thank you! Next article coming up. I'm glad you like them. No more parent accents.

Nancy, I hear the same thing you do from my mom she wants

grandchildren and I tell her that I'm not going to get

married just to have children,(especially in this economy!) lol. I'm with Keats and Kants on the caricture, but it was funny:) Anyway, another cache of pearls you have sent our way to which I'm grateful. BTW has hollywood started to bang on your door regarding TV and film rights yet? :) Take care.

Thanks for commenting! My mom actually speaks like that after 35 years in this country. I emphasized it because I think it speaks to the sacrifices she made for her family. Learning the language only through conversations and experience here in the States. No language classes taken. Annoying to some, significant to me. I'm dating plenty of guys. Some which are white. Some of the white men have Asian festishes. It does not mean I'm not finding white guys, I just haven't wrote about them. That is for another column! I really love that you are commenting, good or bad though. Thank you for writing!

Keats and Kants

Thumbs down for the rehash of the demented asian wife-beater, but the caricature you drew out for Dr. Chin was just too funny so all is well.

Big thumbs up for not being married with kids at your age. Seriously people wtf? I know deep down we're all secure and content with our lives, but you're not making us the rest of us look good.

Thumbs down for the love-destiny bullshit. I know I'm male, dry, cynical and extremely left, but can we pretend to be adults in a progressive world? A little more naturalism and post modern outlook (ie less focus on the self) would be healthy.

Thumbs down for being a single (attractive) asian female in New York and not being able to find a white guy while even hinting any sort of frustration on here. It's New York for Christ's sake!

Last one was just for kicks, but seriously good article with good advice at the end (except destiny :) You startled me with the stereotypical accent at the beginning but it turned out good.

Asian parents are the catch 22 and "we" carry the burden of scrutinizing and playing the relationship down to the details or having a quick volatile relationship forever torn by misunderstanding and no communication.

NOTHING can ever compare to the sacrifice, sweat, and mobility of our parents but their flaws in their standards and mentality that in our current environment, can be extremely detrimental to the social outlooks of future generations.
