I assume that the key to Ms. Wei's make-up is as follows:

July 4th is the first ‘food’ holiday of the year, when Americans of all stripes and colors gather to celebrate the revolutionary origins of this nation. It’s a day where the complexity of American identity melds with patriotic parades and glorious fireworks. Food is how we seal our shared bonds and remember our common purpose.

The signs of the economic earthquake are everywhere: our 401(k)s are floundering, some have had to defer retirement, while others wonder how they’re going to pay for college. But it is the laid off worker that is bearing the brunt of the pain this recession has to offer. Layoffs bring a complex emotional quagmire into play—panic about the checkbook, anger against your boss, fear about being judged at interviews and guilt over being laid off.

Attempt #2 If there is any take home lesson from my first self conscious attempt at sitting solo at a bar, it would have to be this: you can do everything the magazines say (put on your favorite pair of jeans and a killer new top, go to a familiar bar, order your favorite drink), but if you don’t prepare yourself inside as well as out, you’re going to feel as awkward and uncool as you did as a pubescent. With that in mind, in the days immediately after I slunk out of that first dive bar in shame, I concocted a new strategy.

Breast cancer occurs in 1 of 9 women, and is therefore the most common type of cancer diagnosed in women. The American Cancer Society reported over 240,000 new cases of breast cancer in the United States in 2007 alone, with over 40,000 women ultimately succumbing to the disease the same year. In many instances, mastectomy is required to remove the tumor, leaving behind significant physical as well as psychologic consequences.

The Dating Experiments - Sitting Solo at a Bar Attempt #1 I order a beer and, not knowing where else to look, stare straight ahead at the back wall. The bartender, a cute brunette with tattoos on his forearms, glances at the empty seat beside me as he sets my drink down. “Waiting for someone?” he asks.

"How career?" "You have boyfriend?" "How much money you make?"

That's my mom for you. Two hours into the front door of the home I grew up in after a 4 hour travel schedule just to come home sweet home.

Two years ago, Asiance had the chance to talk with Big Will, the CEO and executive producer of WWS Magazine, the world's first digital magazine packaged in a compact disc. Fast forward to today and Big Will has been striving strong in his career: his debut album as a recording artist will be released this year (with two singles being released this month!), he has helped dish out a new digital magazine called DTS, opened up his own tattoo parlor, working on television projects, and still maintains WWS Magazine.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), breast augmentation was the most popular surgical cosmetic procedure in 2007, with a 64% increase from 2000 in the number of procedures performed. Among Asian-Americans, it was the second most popular cosmetic surgical procedure after rhinoplasty. All breasts are made up of fatty tissue, glands, ducts, and a layer of skin. However, the size and shape of the breasts reflects an individual woman's body type. When considering breast augmentation, it is important to educate yourself about your options, evaluate your personal motivations, and have realistic expectations about the results from your surgery. I received a BA and an MA in Economics from Boston University. I work at a mid-size financial services firm (and have for over a year now), full-time, all the while trying to figure out what I really should be doing with my life. Writing this column and sharing my experiences is one of my outlets. Coming to New York City was quite a culture shock for me, not only environment wise, but people wise.

Ah Christmas, the time of year where we reflect on all the blessings we have, what we want to accomplish in the coming year, the birth of Jesus... ... and of course party it up!! Despite it being a down year, there are plenty of Christmas parties to attend. Why is it that the fattest, sloppiest, drunkest men think it's ok to approach you and think they have a shot?

If you haven't heard by now, the Khong sisters are the hot, new act in town. You may recognize them from MTV's "Top Pop Group," where they were one of the finalists on the show, and one of the finalists from NBC's "America's Got Talent". Individually, Nadia, Felicia, Celia, and Daria have personalities that are unique but together they form a bold, sweet and sexy musical force.
Being a triple threat - “ smart, talented, and beautiful - “ how could anyone not notice them? Here at Asiance we certainly did!

So you've been out on a few dates with a potential new beau, you've really hit it off, and the chemistry is definitely there. Could it be you're even starting to fall in love? Okay, let's not jump the gun here. Maybe you're just looking for some ass tonight? Either way, you're having topsy turvy feelings and you eventually want to take it up a notch. To sleep or not to sleep with someone on the first date (or on the second or third or fourth) is a major decision.

Central Park is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places inside one of the most hectic, fast-paced environments in the world. But among the serene landscape is an untold, disturbing and hidden form of legalized animal abuse. I have personally witnessed, horses on the hottest days of summer with no water and sun blisters being forced to pull heavy carts with 6 adults inside.

For many women who try to carve out a creative career at the cost of a stable corporate job, the first hurdle they often encounter is their family. This is perhaps more true for Asian-American women, particularly children of immigrants, whose parents can't believe that their children would scorn the hard earned advantages of a mainstream career for the risky unstable world of creative entrepreneurship.

Rhoda Roc has dated in New York City for a long time. Here she gives her expert dating advice to all women, dating all over the world!

FROM RHODA: I like to keep it simple with a bit of mystery. I grew up in the Midwest and decided to move to the Big Apple. The intensity of the people and the City that never sleeps, excites me.

I am just a simple chick who has lived in Manhattan for about 9 years and has a bundle of stories and advice to share. My answers are based on logic from my past experiences and personal advice I have passed along to my friends.
